This course is intended for or emergency medical responders, EMTs, Paramedics, nurses, physician assistants and physicians.
The PHTLS course emphasises the need for critical thinking and a rapid assessment of the critical trauma patient, treatment of shock and hypoxemia, and rapid transportation to an appropriate hospital.
