Certification is valid for 2 years
The course is designed for healthcare providers who need a credentialed course and is also open to first responders who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
The BLS for Healthcare Provider (C) course skills taught are 1- and 2-rescuer adult, child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation, choking, pulse check, automated external defibrillator (AED) training and the use of bag valve mask (BVM).
Materials required: BLS Healthcare Provider Student Manual
Students must pass a written exam and skills test in order to qualify for a BLS for Healthcare Provider C+ certification card.
